THE THE were brilliant - I still listen to Infected now in the car.

The lyrics were superb

" She was lying on her back with her lips parted, squealing like a stuffed pig.
I was going through the motions, faking the emotion, wriggling around like a lizard in a tin"

don't make em like that anymore!!!!

Dandyman

In London village.
B-Movie (Nowhere Girl)
Comsat Angels (Missing in Action)
Au Pairs (saw them a couple of times at what used to be Brighton Poly or Art College in Grand Parade in early 1980s, some Lefty benefit fund-raiser, natch, Rock Against Rain or something)
The Chefs (Brighton's very own.....)
Birds With Ears (ditto)
Bow Wow Wow (Go Wild in the Country)
Crass (Hard-core scary anarcho-punks who actually lived on a commune - saw them at The Concorde in 1980; the manager had been persuaded to book them by being told that they were a Jazz band :laugh: "Do they owe us a living?; 'course they f****g do'

Christ, I forgot Birds With Ears. Possibly the worst band I've EVER seen.

Just far enough away from LDC
Think it is swing out sister rather thank Shakespeare's Sister who were an altogether more credible musical outfit.
And what about Haysi Fantaysi fronted by the current Mr Patsy Kensit?

I did warn that some on that compilation weren't up to the standards of our own suggestions.

Although what's not to like about strawberry switchblade ........ Except perhaps their inability to dress properly?

Round the back, by the bins.
Tenpole Tudor, featuring the bloke who went on to host The Crystal Maze:

AKA Eddie Tudorpole. Appeared in The Great Rock and Roll Swindle with the Sex Pistols singing Who Killed Bambi?

Yep, you're right it was swing out sister. When I was writing it I thought something was wrong but I couldn't think what.
