Rare albums where the 2nd half is BETTER than the 1st

Not rare but I'm going to go for Soul Mining by The The, the later version with Perfect at the end.

It only really gets going at Jools Holland's piano solo, Giant sounds dated now with its synth sound but the percussion builds to immenseness and then it's Perfect which is the perfect The The song, really miserable lyrics set to a tune the postman could whistle.

Low by David Bowie. Massively. After that I'm struggling.

Oh and ( ) by Sigur Ros. Superb final 3 tracks.

Just finished listening to Low 10 minutes ago, not listened to it for at least 2 years.

I personally really like the second half of Young Americans.
