Yep, although to be fair I only had to travel four miles in 1999.

I nipped over from Bamber Bridge where I was staying for the weekend. It was only 40 or so miles, so had to be done. (though in hindsight, a night out in Preston would have been better!)

Went to the re-arranged Hereford game, on a Tuesday night, in the season Russell Slade saved us from relegation. A Tommy Fraser over heard kick will live very long in the memory.

Two matches at Swansea, local for me but a real balls ache from Brighton. First game at the Vetch on a wet and miserable Tuesday night, very sparse away end. The second at the Liberty Stadium, I think it might have been the league cup, raining again, the only memorable thing (apart from being there with my family) was passing a programme around the away end for us all to sign. Couldn’t have been more than 50 at that first game and perhaps 60 or so at the second.

Me and the kids went to the three Papa John’s games last season to watch our U21s, those weren’t big crowds but it was great to watch our youngsters playing against men’s teams. I’d say there were 100 of us at Walsall, 50 at FGR and 50 at Northampton.

The opponents will be a surprise - Everton away 13 December 1980 L4-3

After virtually everyone got duffed up either on the buses or at Lime Street station the season before, only about 24 of us were on the away terrace behind the goal the following year.

No wonder this game hasn't been mentioned on the thread so far, so few of us there.

That game and the Bristol Rovers game were tremendous and I knew then we were staying up. Great Escape.

Does a cold November Millwall away in the Johnstones Paint Trophy count (2006)?

Remember us winning on penalties after a 1-1 draw. The pens were taken at the other end of the pitch and, by the time the players came to celebrate with us, most the fans had started to make their way home as it was freezing and basically a nothing match

Just looked the match up and didn't realise that we were down to 10 men for 70 mins as well. Was a good time back then as I still lived in Bromley so was able to do a lot of the matches in and around London

Remember that well - pretty sure we equalised in the last minute as well .

Newcastle away, midweek game, start of the 1983 cup run. 88 of us in the away end. More Geordies on the train back to London than there were of us. Got back to Brighton at 7.30. I think we slept at Gatwick Airport, and went straight to work.

Albion v Walsall, Autoglass trophy 18th January 1993.

About 1,000 at the Goldstone, 4-2 to the good guys after extra time.I think we were winning 2-1 with about 30 seconds of normal time left , and they equalised.

The reason I remember, I think it was the coldest I’ve ever been at a football match. Horizontal sleet and absolutely bitterly cold. Their last minute goal meant another 35 minutes freezing my arse off.

I remember going to that Liberty stadium game and fairly sure I signed that programme. Also remember a pre season friendly v Lewes ( late 90s?) when Paul Holsgrove played. I think we had recently signed him on a free, and them immediately after that match we sold him to Hibs for £100k - a lot of money in those days for a club in our position.

Wasn’t the cup game at Norwich called off due to a power cut that took out the floodlights? I’m not sure as I didn’t make after the wheel fell off my car en route!!

The power cut was caused by them switching on the under soil heating without following the correct start up procedure, or something like that.
