I am a teacher at a Primary School in Geelong (which has an ever expanding supporter base). As we were lining up with the grade 3s and 4s i say the blue and white stripes out of the corner of my eye. I glanced over assuming that it was probably a North Melbourne top but then i noticed the line of logos down the center an thought "that looks familiar" and sure enough it was one of the new Brighton shirts.

I went over to talk to the student and she said "my brother put it on me this morning with a hat and scarf!" I noticed an accent and she said she was from Leicester. I told her it was an Albion shirt and she should be proud, she smiled and i went about my day waiting for the bus to arrive.

Is this a strange coincidence or a sign of the global brand of BHAFC spreading across the world?

So I arrived Stockholm Tuesday. Horizontal snow stinging yer face and making you wish you'd gone to Daggers. Taxi driver approached, dimly perceived through swirling snow and screwed up eyes. But I could see a dark woolly hat and, emerging out of the blizzard, a familiar badge proudly standing square in the middle of his forehead. He was greetd by a hearty Seagulllllllls! and a grey haired 50 something bloke pointing at his head and smiling :)

Global branding? No, someone had left it in the back of his cab and he didn't have an effing clue what I was on about.

But the sun came out later.

I was in Sydney a few years ago, on my way home from clubbing as dawn was breaking. Some poor bastard was out for a morning coffee wearing a seagulls hat. He was then greeted by a glassy eyed lunatic screaming seagulls in his face and brandishing a blue and white wallet at him. I was thankfully dragged away by my mate before I decided it might be a good idea to hug him.

Many apologies if that was you, for ruining your morning coffee

Went out in Eastbourne the night we beat Man City a couple of years back. Saw someone in an Albion shirt, shouted all usual 'Seagulls' etc at him, started chatting to him about the game.........He didnt even know we'd had a game that night!! Going out in a football shirt is an unbelievable no-no at the best of times, maybe if he'd come straight from the game it would have been acceptable, but clearly wasnt even a 'real' fan. Madness I tell you!
