Brian McKenna- played one game in goal for us, let in four, and never played again.

David Clarkson- sparkled briefly in a few cameo appearances during the early 90s, causing the crowd to beg for him to be given a chance for 90 minutes...then never really cut it when he got in from the start.

Stuart Munday- because he was going out with one of my mates when we were at college.

Franco Massimo, because he was in the reserves when I first started going, and sounded rather exotic, only to be a fairly useless county league level ex-pro.

John Gregory and Mark Lawrenson, two very good players who became disliked by Albion fans for their attitude towards the Albion after they left.

John Byrne, one of my favourite Albion players but I have never understood why he chooses (it seems to me) to be an Albion fan, being a Northerner and all that

Two old stagers desperate for one final pay packet before their legs completely gave way.

Worthing
Paul Clark - For showing that you could win the ball and still hurt someone at the same time.

Brian Bromley - For having smashing sideburns and scoring 'That Goal' against Tranmere.

Sammy Morgan - See above Paul Clark but without ever winning the ball.

Darren Hughes

I can't even remember what he did, except he was vaguely bearded, and played in the Danny Wilson  era under Lloyd.

Round the back, by the bins.
Peter Smith: for having legs that defied the laws of physics.

Brian Wade: for putting four goals past Newcastle on his home debut.

Joe Kinnear and Phil Beale, Tottenham players who were just two of quite few quality players from the top level who dropped down the divisions as they got older. Used to happen in the old days before they earned enough money to retire once their top flight days are over. Sad really, it would be great to see some of the recent Premiership stars in League 1

Clive Walker- bald, erratic, occasionally entertaining.

Dean Wilkins (he was a player too, kids)- delicate, non-tackling, one-footed midfielder with luxuriant hair, reputation as a free kick specialist based almost entirely on one successful attempt against Ipswich Town.

Charlie Baker, goalie in the early sixties ... for his cap, and for living in a semi in Turners Hill.

Oh, and Tony Nicholas, striker (sorry, Centre Forward) in the same era, for rarely being able to hit the target.
