I dont risk it, where I live we got the bloody fire station tower and that ALWAYS ges struck by lightning, everything nearby gets fizzled and i've lost 2 HD's and countless modems in the past. Even with a safety plug socket thing I dont risk it!

My broadband and all my PC plugs go through a surge protector.

Raining in Seaford now with thunder fairly close by.
I've just been standing out in the garden getting a good drenching, most refreshing after working in a roofspace today which was 43 degrees(110 degrees farenhot):nono:

Next doors cat (Ginny) is happily sitting in my garden washing itself, unware of what dangers could be in store if lightning occurs.
