Weirdly when Network Rail start playing with the Brighton main line and trains are redirected down the Arun Valley line and West Coastway, it can work very well for me . . . but only on a Sunday.

As my beloved 17 buses all sit in Henfield having a well earned rest, (they are all getting old now, and break down frequently anyway), as long as l can get a lift into Horsham, l can let the train take the strain , all the way to the Amex.

It’s the reliability/punctuality of the service post-match that concerns me re getting back to Gatwick for a flight

At a guess, there's not enough buses for EDF and Pyecombe and rail replacement. For Liverpool Pyecombe opened but struggled as the A23 was gridlocked due to lack of trains, so maybe it's the turn of EDF this time.

I’ve been stuck for ages in a taxi trying to get out of Falmer uni on a match day - what time is the flight?

Horsham blocked all weekend, but mainline London to Brighton open all day Saturday and Sunday, standard Sunday service.
