Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has ended speculation over his future at Anfield by signing a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2014.

"My heart is with Liverpool, so I'm delighted to sign this new deal," said the 48-year-old.

"I love the club, the fans and the city and with a club and supporters like this, I could never say no to staying."

Thought some of you might be intrested

Nice longterm contract to ensure himself a huge payoff should Liverpool decide to dump him in the next few years.

Alan Hansen made a good point on 5Live, about Man. Utd. having a 78 000 capacity stadium, compared with the 44 000 of Anfield, and how much better Liverpool might do, if their new stadium is built and the extra spending power on players this would bring

Man. Utd. can just buy most of the best players at the minute :smokin:

Worthing
Well Fergie can't have long left at the helm of Man Utd, so the consistency of sticking with Benitez could see Liverpool getting the Premiership title they so crave under his reign?!

Glad he's signed it purely for the reason that it means I won't have to hear about the boring negotiations anymore. I hate the increasing obsession with people involved in football signing contracts - it's so dull and it doesn't mean anything since they will leave if they get better offers or in the case of managers they still often get sacked. Remember when there was all that fuss about Lampard (I think) signing a new Chelsea contract and the BBC decided this was a bigger story than Rotherham possibly folding. Gah!
