I was there. Can't remember much as I was hammered and this is the first time I have seen it since. Voted the best gig of all time by Q. I'm not sure about that but it is absolutely PHENOMENAL.

Yeah I was there too. Watching now and brings back some memories. Still remains one of my top three gigs of all time and watching it now just confirms how awesome they were.

There are plenty of people out there who don't like/get Radiohead, but I'd challenge anyone to watch this and deny it's absolute genius. The best of The Bends, OK Computer and Creep. A band at the very top of their game.

Absolutely. This was Radiohead at the very peak of their career. When they were this good not one band at the time and very few since can get anywhere close.

Agree with this entirely - I've not really got them post 'Ok Computer', although I quite liked some of 'In Rainbows', but the set has just gone from Creep to No Surprises to Just and musically, that is some MASSIVE hitting.

That performance of fake plastic trees was absolutely amazing. Shiver up the spine moment even watching it on TV. Perfect performance.

Wasn't at this but one of the best gigs I've ever been to was when they played at South Park in their home town Oxford. 2001 I think it was. That included stuff from Kid A too which is also a masterpiece.

Yep. Can't wait for Street Spirit. My favourite Radiohead track of all time.

Incredible. OK Computer had only been released two weeks before. That performance sent them into the stratasphere and rightly so. Wow.

Bloody hell if that was the best gig of all time I must be getting old, it was the same song played over and over again. i know I am getting old and music is all about opinions, but Radiohead totally over rated IMHO. As someone who saw The Who at Charlton 74, Zeppelin at Knebworth 79, Pink Floyd at the Dome in 76 ? (first ever live performance of DSOM), Hendrix at the Roundhouse 72 ?, The Clash Top Rank lates 70s', think just maybe the oldies on here might help me out, or shall I just go back into my 70's shell ?

Wish I could stay up for Pulp, but the kids won't show me any mercy when they get up at 6am. Night all.

If someone doesn't like or get radiohead they are unlikely to appreciate the 'genius' as you put it, I'm afraid I'm in that camp as I like a couple of songs of theirs but don't think they are that special! People seem to get moist over Muse and U2 as well.

Muse and U2 aren't even on the same planet as Radiohead at the time. It all just came together for that night. Nothing they have done since or had done up to that point will ever come close to that night.

I've been to other gigs that have equally amazed me over the years but not very many.

That Q list is full of modern crap (Oasis at Knebworth at number 3?!?!?). I would imagine it's the best of my generation but I'm sure there was plenty of brilliant stuff in the 60's and 70's that would put it in the shade.

Oh and to answer your question, anyone who watches a gig like that and says "it was the same song played over and over again" IS old! I bet your Dad was saying the same thing about Hendrix and The Who in the 70's.
