I am driving to Portugal tomorrow does anybody know of any radio station that feature English speaking or English speaking music in Western side of France Spain or Portugal. I can use cd but prefer the radio

Around Paris and Bourdeax you will pickn up Fip a great radio station that is also broadcast in central Brighton. Does not meet the english speaking but has minimal talking and lots of weird and wonderful sounds.

The travel radio which has the frequecys on boards as you travel on the motor way has english speaking travel news every half an hour, and the presenters are often ex pats and Americans and quite funny.
Again french but nostalgie is an even chessier version of Capital gold, well worth an hour of two.
Bar that burn or record lomg audio books and some new albums.

Radio Four (on 198 KHz, long wave) manages to stretch across the English Channel, but not as far as Portugal.

It does indeed, I managed to get it on the west coast of France as far south as Arcachon, which is west of Bordeaux. There will probably be someone who has managed to get it further south, just to give you an idea of the range you can achieve, R4LW is of course perfect for keeping up with the cricket!

I remember some years ago driving to Perpignan (sp?) and getting I think it was Atlantic on 252 most of the way

I would suggest giving the local stations a go, you might be surprised!

Kiss Algarve when you get there. Seem's to be mostly English. I might even get one of the DJ's I know to do a shout out to all our fans.
