I have a Bose Radio/i-pod/CD thingy and it is great.Small and compact, yet loud enough to drown out the sound of my wife moaning on and on and on and on and on ....etc..
The above are mere 'portables' not KITCHEN..easy clean, high powered, high polished chrome finish award winning Dualit £150 job, is the ONLY option & it complements the classic polished aluminium toaster to boot
We have an older model of the Pure EVOKE - its been brilliant - many a game listened too and it looks nice and fits on the window sill. Clear as a bell!
I'm looking to update my DAB too. Had an early Intempo jobbie which has been ok but is mains only plus the sound and reception isn't brilliant compared to newer models. I want portability to listen to footie and Planet Rock around the house and garden, including bathroom so must be rechargeable battery plus mains operated. Ideally it would be capable of wifi streaming and have a proper IPod connection but these tend to be mains only so have discounted this - unless someone knows different? I know I could spend serious dosh on a Sonos type network to meet all needs but just want a simple(ish) portable radio.
I have narrowed down my choice to the Pure One Elite II or Roberts Ecologic 4. Both are stereo, portable and get good reviews for around £75 ish. Would be interested to get views from NSCers.
