I guess not, but you can understand his bewilderment at the situation. I know it’s difficult to separate Tommy Robinson the racist thug from Tommy Robinson the dad but on this one I’m with him.

Yeh, but mate, as well as a proven thug he's also a proven liar. Very unlikely that this story about his child is true. Personally i'd be very wary about repeating any story he has come out with.

If it does turn out to be true, then this MAY get taken into account when mitigating his sentence. Though clearly his past record will count the other way.

Would the responses be the same on here if it was any old Joe Bloggs rather than Robinson? As a dad of three kids I can tell you with absolute certainty that I’d have responded very similarly to him in the same circumstances....surely any father would?

I'll add my weight to those who are saying they wouldn't respond violently and would trust the authorities to deal with the situation.

Though probably I have less aptitude for violence than some of the proper hard nuts posting on this thread

I don’t, but if MY child reported to me in a distressed state that she or he’d been grabbed I’d certainly believe them.

If someone with a criminal record and public persona as a lying racist nob accused someone of rogering their cat, I wouldn't be out on the streets campaigning for tiddles.

Give your head a wobble, FFS.

Blimey that's pretty rude.

At a risk of repeating myself, again.....I tell you what, just forget it.

Good luck and love to you all.

I don't know many Fathers that would make their child recount a sexual assault on video and then post it on the internet. Very, very strange behaviour.

My thoughts as well. You would never be allowed to cross examine a child like that nowadays. And he seems to be finishing her sentences for her.

If a defence lawyer did that to her he would be up in arms against it.

All that said. We need to treat the accusations seriously otherwise children suffering abuse currently might never come forward to report abuse.

He asks very leading questions. But yes, all accusations should be taken seriously. He should have called the police in the first instance. All he’s achieved is getting himself arrested and the alleged molester is now the aggrieved.
Silly man.

He would never 'swing' unless he was surrounded by his 'supporters'.

The only footage I’ve seen of him hitting someone is at an England game. Some fans were giving him some mouth. He made a few verbal and physical gestures, and when the guys had walked walked ahead he hit one from behind. Very brave.

I just looked up his height. He’s a mere 5’ 7”, and tough if it’s women he’s beating or men from behind.

Cried like a baby in his Belmarsh cell, clearly learnt nothing and I hope he goes back in there sharpish.
Only this time, put him on the wing and not in seg, feed him to the lions.

:D Every time I hear or see his name all I can see is him blubbing away banged up in his cell. What a "hard man"!

You'd think he would learn from what he went away from too? Way to ruin a trial of your own daughter :dunce:

I find the video of him, directing a cross examination of his daughter, and posting it on the internet suspicious to say the least. Would not be my first thought and surely jeopardises any future investigations. Havnt heard much about him lately.

Apologies.

I just find it peculiar that people would take the time to post on a football forum stuff along the lines of 'But hang on, that Tommy Robinson, he does have a point you know'.

He has no point. None at all

I am sure there are countless other examples of people without his record who have had to punch someone for toching up their kid in a swimming pool that folk could start a thread about. Countless.

If he actually did that (I'm not about to provide any clicks for the attention seeking racist) then that undermines any last shred of sympathy he might have otherwise gained from me as a father seeking to protect his daughter.

Anyway. One thing that life has taught me is that a version of Karma exists. Not as some supernatural fairy force, but simply in the fact that your longer term approach to life, and how you treat others, can have specific impacts that may, when looked at in isolation, seem unfair.

I once worked for someone that was a total arse. In every way. Arrogant beyond belief, rude, angry and treated everyone around him, especially those he had some power over, as an inferior species. As a result he was, very, very, unpopular within the relatively small professional community we were operating in. He had a guy working for him, who was lovely. Gentle, kind, easy going. Mr Arrogant had done Mr Gentle quite a favour by employing him (long story). And Mr Gentle repaid that by screwing Mr Arrogant over. Again, a long story, but looked at completely objectively Mr Gentle behaved very unprofessionally and was in the wrong. A long way into the wrong. But here's the thing. Everybody took the side of Mr Gentle. Despite that he was in the wrong, they just liked him more, and were inclined to believe that somehow, whatever the facts, he must be in the right. As a result of the fall-out, Mr Angy's reputation took yet more of a beating and Mr Gentle was even more popular.

So...there you go. In this case, Racism's Tommy Robinson may actually have a case to be made for his behaviour. But as a result of his long history of beng a racist ********, 99% of decent people will not give him the benefit of the doubt. Which will no doubt fix even more firmly his view of himself as a badly treated martyr. Making him ever more angy and looking for people (mainly people who look different to him) to blame...And so it goes on.

What goes around comes around kids.
Just say no to being a racist ******** and life will probably treat you better.

Looks like my previous post is too late

I'm a father of children and I don't go around punching people. Nor have been arrested for numerous various violent acts

What about Mortgage fraud?

That was my first thought - how many people have ever been arrested at Center Parcs? What sort of a nob do you have to be to get arrested sober in your trunks with your kid next to you. That sort of thing just doesn't happen to normal people, lying narcissistic psychopaths maybe, but not normal people.
