Race night last night

Did anyone else go? It was a great evening and the Alive and Kicking fund and Falmer For All must of made a lot of money.

I did. Great fun and well over a grand raised. The auction alone raised £500.

Also present were Martin Perry, staff from the Club Shop and a contingent from BODS (Disabled Supporters).

It was a good night - and not to much mess to clear up either!! I think there were about 150 people there in the end so not a bad turn out.

I ducked out about 9.30 though!

I managed to get on the 10-1 winner but I still spent a fortune on drink, food and subsidising the gambling habit of my son and his friend. Eventually I persuaded them to only back ONE horse in each race, not five. I spent so much though that when I 'won' one of the auction prizes I didn't have enough money left to pay for it! I've just had to send Liz a cheque!
