So just one leg to go, and – as anticipated – Claudia & Kevin have run out of money and abandoned.

Hopefully there are some decent travel options for the last leg, to mix it up a bit, because if all we have is the 'one bus one train' limitations that have hampered much of the rest of the series, then it's going to be pretty dull.

Though expect they'll find a way to guarantee a dramatic 'sprint to the finish', like S2 last year.

And, surprise surprise, they did.
One couple stuck at a petrol station, passing guy says he can put them up for the night, but can't give them a lift.
Next morning, suddenly he's willing to get up before dawn and drive them 350km to the finish line in time to 'just' win.
Not the result of the production company 'suggesting' this to him at all, of course.

See there’s now a celebrity version starting next Wednesday, looks to be Africa to the Arctic in some way, shape or form

I’m not sure how this is going to work. One of the best things about the programme is that the contestants have been likeable and not searching for celebrity status - the last thing I want to see is a load of z-list celebrities I’ve never heard of trying to raise their profile.

but I do love the show normally

All seem quite likeable other than that All Saints singer who comes across as a pretentious berk, her mum is good value though.

There seems little thrift from them as I think twice they used a taxi

Series 4 coming on April 10th on BBC.

Love this programme

North Japan to Lombok.
That’ll be a really good route to watch. I’ve been to Japan a few times and outside of Tokyo no one spoke a word of English and it’s impossible to interpret any signs so won’t be easy to even get through the first stage!

Trying to work out the possible route. I reckon Japan > South Korea > China (probably with a stage finish in Hong Kong) > Vietnam > Laos > Thailand > Malaysia > Singapore > Indonesia

Good trip!

They should include North Korea to make it a bit more of a challenge

I was adicted to youtubers called Jet Lag who race across continents. Watching them helped when we were stranded at St Pancras trying to get to Marseille.
Meanwhile, did anyone record the 30 minutes of their life after "Roma will be playing Brighton & Hove Albion"? Gatwick, sold out. Stanstead, only to Milan! Can we drive?

One of the teams has already blown 20% of their budget, they’re toast

The air that finished last seemed most likeable. The young boys are incredibly annoying and over competitive. Always hugely enjoyable although Mrs Crod and I preferred the celebrities.
