Got to be 4 wins out of 4.

I would really like to believe we could do it, but there's more chance of Fulham staying up than us getting in to the play offs.

No win in 4, 2 points out of a possible 12, and people realistically think we can get 12 points from 4 games? No chance in hell.

It's been a good season, but rebuild for next season and let's push for play offs.

Although we don't look in a great position for the play-off's you always have to believe or what's the point.

So bring on Luton.

If it doesn't happen then i still think we have had overachieved this year and if we hadn't had the disruption to the midfield maybe we could have been more consistent.

"Over-achievement" that you allude to, can be credited to the manager and coaching staff, surely?
I'm afraid NSC is not allowed to give the manager credit.

However, in all seriousness, a couple of moments being different and we could have been playoff contenders still. I'm thinking about 3 points at Cheltenham, at least 2 against Orient, and 1 from the game on Saturday. Those are just a few recent pivotal moments that 'could' have easily been different.

From now on though, in this season - it's really a test of the players as a regular team just playing for the pride, the supporters, their own standards, and the game. In a large sense it's still a test of characters, and footballers playing for the spectacle of it.

For us, it will be a question of who believes it matters to play for BHAFC, who plays out of love for the game, and who's really 'professional'.

Ambitions not forgotten - but I would rather watch a Conference side for who - it matters, than a Prem team who are just showing up for the paycheck. The difference is called passion - and to borrow from Shakespeare, the quality of that "is not strained".

I love the fact that the back page headline on the Argus is Wilkins, we can still do it,

then the 2 pages inside the back page is Naylors article about The season is over, book your holidays, we are rubbish and going down 17 divisions blah blah blah

Our coaching staff deserve a lot of credit given that we had to re-build half of our team at a crucial time in the season.

Southend showed what can be done with hardened old fashioned pros as opposed to young lads with potential.

I'd agree with that Gramps, but our kids are gaining experience all the time. Assuming the best of them are not sold over summer, next season they'll have two full seasons' experience behind them, growing together. As frustrating as this season has been occasionally, I'll go for organic growth over trying to buy success (look at Murray, for example - three times what Zamora cost?) every single time.
