Anyone on here feel the stirrings of patriotism or feel classicly comforted upon seeing that photo? I've been British all my life and I've never once heard of this mess let alone eaten it.

I actually posted a photo of this very dish I ate a few months ago in the Restaurant thread. I was certainly comforted but didn't feel the urge to sing Rule Brittania.

My SWISS-GERMAN housemate at uni used to eat mince sandwiches for lunch.

It's actually pretty nice, but in no way a British classic.

Scrambled eggs on toast, plenty of salt and pepper and some parsley and a black coffee is my go-to post run breakfast. I think it's British but not sure.

Strangely, that actually looks quite nice. If I ever have any chilli or Bolognese left over, I may try this. But definitely not British.
