Am I the only one who thinks it strange that a Brighton fan has asked the quickest way to get to the Brighton Centre from Brighton Station 🤣🤣🤣

I can only assume the OP isn’t from Brighton ??

Perhaps 'Perry's tracksuit bottoms' is one of our new Ivorian or Japanese fans with a strange affinity for Mr Digweed.

Once at Brighton station you could get the 7 to George Street, then swap to the Hollingbury 5B which will drop you right outside Churchill Square, and from there you can probably run/jog to the seaford in under 3 minutes.

Just far enough away from LDC
Don't judge me but.......

In the days when the taxi rank was still out the front of the station, I once got a cab to the grand hotel. (It was heavily raining and I was in a dinner jacket having got changed at work before getting the train).

The taxi driver, assuming I was a 'down from london' type tried to go via western road and preston street. Partly I suspect to extend the fare. But also seemingly to point out a couple of brothels should I be interested. Im not sure what that says about his perception of me?

I'm going to a thing at the Brighton Centre next week, but I need to be in London during the day and my train back might arrive a little after the event has started.

So... what's the quickest way of getting there?

Now the main taxi rank is round the back of the station I suspect I'd be delaying myself even more by heading for that. But is there somewhere nearer the front I could pick up a taxi? Could I get an uber (I've never got an uber before)?

Or should I just run?
Just run down Queens Road. Or as I call it - 'do the junky slalom'

Neither.

As you come out of the Station front entrance , on your left there is a Budgeon’s supermarket. Go inside and grab one of these.

Point it toward the sea and jump in. Roll straight down Queen’s Road across North Street and down West Street (it’s a decent downhill gradient so by this time you’ll have picked up a respectable speed). As you reach the beach, your vehicle will come to a natural stop and the Brighton Centre will be just over the road on your left standing with your back to the sea.

Good luck. 🙂

(Check out the Clock Tower as you speed past, it is an architectural landmark)
