Putting aside the various f*** ups with the system you have to take your hat off to the staff. All very pleasant and professional.

The bearded assistant manager seemed like a top top guy. And people who have phoned have nothing but praise for them.

Just the IT department letting people down again as always!

The club don't have an IT department.

And that saids very much to me.

Outsourcing IT is great for general businesses but a disaster for something as specialist as this.

I assume they use IT First for obvious reasons.

May have made more sense to use someone who has a track record with sporting clubs. Taylor Made based in Hants have been heavily involved with Southampton and the Rose Bowl and have been brilliant I understand.

I'm sure techie TB will learn all about this, and make changes so we get the best IT and phone systems for ticketing.
Although it may settle down for league games, there'll be ad hoc FAC games, Concerts, etc.
Otherwise they'll be throwing away revenue & it's bad PR.

I spoke to Simon on the phone, he was very friendly and helpful especially considering how busy he must have been all day.

That was a shit first post from me on this thread.

Yes: the ticket people are amazing - a real credit to themselves and the club and great ambassadors for Brighton & Hove Albion.

Some may not know but we (NSC) sent them a case of wine not too long ago by way of thanks for their efforts. I think it's about time the gesture was repeated.

they were great today and since the Bearded Wonder (Scots Paul) joined this has always been the case. They were efficient, friendly and helpful despite the fact that every time they looked up all they could see was a never ending line of customers.

I was there for a couple of hours and it would have been nice for someone senior from the club, MP, KB, DK or even TB to pop in and have a chat with the fans - I know they are busy people but there are enough ex players associated with the club for someone to have popped in. Good PR!!

Incidentally, I was under the impression that phone calls and enquiries went to an (outsourced?) Call Centre, not to the "Queens Road 3"

Paul has never been anything other than brilliant every time I have dealt with him on the phone!

Meopham, Kent.
Problem with kids tickets being "ADULTS". Email only partially fixed it, so I rang up this morning. Got straight through and it was fixed in about 35 seconds.

Excellent.
