A lot of people seem to think that Pardew hates as and will try to scupper the Lua Lua deal, but don't forget the Tanno connection! It was Pardew who signed Tanno for the Hammers, and Pardew who was in charge when Tanno famously tore up his contract after tearing his hamstring after a couple of appearances. Pardew described this as one of the nicest and honorable acts he's seen in football. He may be ex palace, but I think his relationship with our current management is pretty healthy!

Here's to Kazenga

You have just made my day with that info.! I was really worried that he would still not like us because Bobby threw a ball in his Ball Boy's face that time.

Great bit of background this.

People get the wrong idea about relationships within football.

Its the relationships / contacts between PEOPLE that matter, not clubs as entities. Human relationships between managers, chairmen, scouts and agents - these things matter very much.

Similar with any prospective long term loans - a manger is making a decision whether to loan their young prospect to GUS, rather than to BHA.

Agreed. Oatway aside, is there anyone left at the Albion today who was involved when we had our tussle with Reading?

On the up as we are, Pardew still has a lot bigger things to worry about than spiting the Albion.

I've had lots of dealings with Pardew as journo to manager, he knows I'm an Albion fan, and I've never detected any animosity towards the Albion on his part, although he would have had plenty of opportunities to have a dig. Like Mark McGhee, he's always struck me as one of the more normal, grown-up people in football management, even if it's hard to disregard some of the things that are alleged about his personal life.

Don't think it matters what Pardew wants as the NUFC board will decide to sell or not, Be better if TB plays poker with Mike Ashley!

It just makes me love our management team, in reality Lua Lua should be looking to join a top championship club or a lower premiership club, it is due to Poyet and his team's management style and Watford fans anticipated Buckley being out of our league and again heading to a bigger club.Of course it goes with out saying how highly respect Tony Bloom who has supported Gus and let him get on with the job - Happy Happy Days!

Pardew has bigger fish to fry than us these days, its simple if he dosent think Lua Lua is going to get in his first team squad, he may well think lets let him go with a sell on clause and have another million to spend, simple as that.
Add to that Lua Lua may want to leave and we have a recipe for a signing :)
