Ok....one to get you going....decent England teams, surnames beginning with the same letter....I'll start off with ' B '

Boycott
Brearley ( Capt )
Barrington
Butcher
Bartlett
Botham
Bairstow ( Wk )
Bailey
Batty
Bedser
Barnes

Umps
Bird
Buller

Cheers for that. Here's your 'C' team. Crawley will have to double up in his part time 'keeper role:

Cook A
Close B
Compton C
Cowdrey C
Collingwood P
Chapman P
Crawley J (w/k)
Cork D
Cook N
Caddick A
Cowans N

Or put in a Sussex player, Tich Cornford, a genuine keeper (BTW, I think you mean Compton D not C)

:lolol: At least it's not 'N'...

How about an H team - this has a terrifying batting line-up, might struggle to bowl a decent team out though

Hobbs J
Holmes P
Hutton L
Hammond
Hendren
Hardstaff J Jnr
Hirst G
Hegg
Hendrick
Hoggard
Hollies

Here's the 'D' team, had to play Duckworth as batsman:

Duckworth was no batsman though. Another missed Sussex player: how about Hubert Doggart (who I think is England's oldest living test cricketer, not 100% sure though)?

Bit light on spinners that team

England's a bit light on players with surnames beginning with 'D'!

Doggart can come in for Downton, with Duckworth taking up the gloves. He's the second oldest living English Test cricketer apparently at 91 NO - http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/records/283742.html

Don Smith is the oldest at 93 NO.

D'Oliveira
Edrich
Foster (wk)
AW Greig
Hemmings
Ilott

A team for the letter A. As you deviants did not start there!

Abel, Bobby
Atherton, Mike
Athey, Bill
Amiss, Dennis
Adams, Chris
Ames, Les (wk)
Allen, Gubby
Attewell, William
Arnold, Geoff
Allom, Maurice
Anderson, James

Strong batting line up, Fantastic seam line up, Attewell will have to provide cutters in spin friendly conditions. Jonathan Agnew can carry the drinks.

Next up E, pretty easy this one. There have only been 11:

Edrich, John
Emmett, George
Edrich, Bill
Evans, John
Ealham, Mark
Evans, Godfrey (wk)
Elliott, Harry
Emburey, John
Edmonds, Phil
Emmett, Tom
Ellison, Richard

Two wicketkeepers, two quality spinners, two rubbish seamers, a fat all rounder, one great batsman and one good batsman. Might need a lot of turn to get anything out of this lot.

Good team that

Luckhurst
Lloyd D
Larkins
Lewis
Leyland
Lohmann
Lilley
Larwood
Lock
Laker
Lever

Bit light on batting but that's a fearsome bowling attack
If it's England players rather than English players then surely Lamb gets a look in? (Wasn't sure but saw Phil Edmonds mentioned on another line up so why not? :) )

Bloody Worthing!
Sussex 'M'' team consisting of players I've seen.

Montgomerie
Morley
Mendis
Machan
Martin-Jenkins
Mansell
Moores
Marler
Mohammed Akram
Mushy
Magoffin

Have to play Mansell as a batsman and a there's a bit of a long tail; relying on Mushy to bowl the opposition out for very few.
