Micky had been approached by Knight long before March of this year, but we couldn't afford the compensation Adams' club at that time requested. Adams also tried to lure Wikins away from Brighton twice. What has that got to do with Micky being at Brighton now, except both facts are history?

I am suprised that Colchester wanted a huge amount of compensation for an Asst Manager and must have realised that he would become a No 1 again somewhere and not be content to stay as a No2.


He left Colchester in the New Year and was doing radio work and scouting for Stoke after that and to quote him the travel from his home in Market Harborough to Colchester each day was too much and he missed having time with his family, which he considered important as he never saw his children by his first wife growing up.

Unless of course you are saying that we approached him even earlier than the begining of the 2008.
