agree with the intervals thing . it spikes your metabolism so you carry on burning calories after youve finished, ie it ups your metabolic rate even after youve finished whereas steady state cardio doesnt.

also think about doing weight training , this works in much the same way . also the more muscle you have the more calories you burn even when youre sitting on your ass. as , i think, muscle cells burn 7 times more calories than fat cells. you'll feel better with it too. however dont do the machines do free weights.

with your food replace refined carbs (white bread , white pasta , white rice, potato etc )with wholemeal versions of it. dont eat too many carbs and replace some of the carbs with cauliflower brocolli and peppers.

good luck with it mate , sounds like youre doing well. keep it up

I was going to suggest adding in a bit of weight training as well, an extra pound of muscle requires your body to burn off around an extra 50 calories a day, even without the exercise accounted for. Although if you do this you have to remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so even thoug you're losing the fat, your weight will probably increase a bit. Don't get too bothered about this, people are often too obsessed with the numbers on the scales and tend to ignore the important stuff such how much better they're looking and feeling, and how well their clothes are fitting.

Another nutrition tip I'd give is to try and split your meals into 5-6 smaller meals a day if this is practical. Good luck!

My healthtrainer lady has me on the 5-6 meals program, and helps i must admit. The exercise i have been doing had definately impacted, muscles and though not lost pounds i can tell by clothes of it changing.

I just run, and run, and run. I find this keeps me buff.

Maybe one day I will be able too mate, health willing. Am getting there slowly. 5 months ago after illness I could not walk half a mile into town without sitting at least twice, so being able to walk and or cycle 5-10 km a day now is a step in right direction.
