And the award for worst frontman in the rock genre has to go to Ozzy Osbourne. Admittedly am not his biggest fan but I do like the Randy Rhodes and Jake E Lee period stuff. However he just seems lean against the mic or lumber from one side of the stage to the other. And yes Sharon he does use an auto cue to prompt the lyrics !

Totally agree .Have seen Sabbath with both Ozzy and Dio and later on saw the Heaven and Hell line up at the Brighton Centre and Sonisphere.Dio's presence and voice piss all over Ozzy. 2 of the best Sabbath albums were Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules.Contraversial ,I know ,but I miss the little guy,

Also had the privalege to see Queen at the Brighton Centre both nights of their Crazy Horse tour in 79,Tickets £3.50,Also saw them at Milton Keynes ,Wembley Arena ,Live Aid Wembley Stadium and Knebworth.
Freddie was total master of his stage .I have seen all the greats from that era and nobody comes close.............not even Bowie.
Freddie and Ronnie RIP

I was at the 1979 concert at the Brighton Centre, well the first night and yes i paid £3.50 also and it seemed a huge amount in those days. I was playing football for the Lord Nelson in Trafalgar St at the time and it was 35p for a pint of mild and you could drink about 60 pints before you got pissed.
It was a great concert and i was deaf for a fortnight after. It was so loud.

Great days and great pals sadly missed

Saw Queen at Knebworth on the same tour, it was one of the greatest gigs I ever went to.

As did I. Turned out it was the last ever live Queen gig. Someone once told me there were 125,000 there! Freddie was the ultimate performer - my avatar happens to be the picture I used for my Freddie tattoo

I was there too. They said they didn't play Brighton Rock much live, but they made an exception. :)

I was there for that concert, truely amazing, Freddie was unbelievable live.
Good day out, The Alarm opened, followed by INXS, then Quo before Queen took to the stage, fantastic day out.

As for others, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band at Wembley, the Born in the USA tour was IMHO one of the best. Bruce dosnt do support acts, and the concert lasted about 3 hrs 45 mins, boiling hot day July 3rd 1985.???
My ex missus managed to get me a 4 album vinyl bootleg of the whole concert, 1st class recording direct from thesound board.
Only ever played it a couple of times, recorded it and stored it ever since, in immaculate condition.

I thought INXS started first. I seem to remember they were awful, and Mike Peters came on saying, "You don't want to see us do you?" The crowd, or at least in our bit shouted a resounding no, to which Peters stated "We've only got two songs, please let us play."

The Alarm as I recall potentially saved the day, as Quo were boring.

I was at Wembley in '86. I can't really say I was into Queen before I went, I knew of them, of course, and knew a lot of the songs, but had never followed them at all. I thought it was absolutely amazing though, can't really describe it, but it was out of this world. It may be a funny comparison, but the only other time I've seen any performer have that sort of hold over an audience would be Robbie Williams

If I had one wish and one wish only, I would go and watch Queen live. It must of been amazing feeling. Taylor and May at this concert knew something wasn't quite right with Freddy those two nights and knew it would be his last..

Queen are on my short list of "Bands that I will never get to see live", along with the Wilko Johnson era Dr Feelgood.

Springsteen is amazing live, Earls Court 2002 was when I witnessed the rock'n'roll Behemoth that is (was?) the E-Street band in full flight. Clarence got the second biggest cheer of the night when he walked on to the stage, sorry to hear that he is not well as he is such a key part of the sound.
