It looks like most of the information the FA are using as the basis for charging Luton with is coming from their ex-Club Secretary (not from Mike Newell as some people think).

If this was Brighton and it had been a former club official that was spilling the beans - how would you feel? I believe that the potential implications for Luton are a long transfer embargo and possible fines.

Would you hate the former staffer for snitching on your club or would you respect him/her for having the balls?

Would you rather the club were found out and had to clean up? Or as a fan would you be happy for the club to carry on operating outside the rules of the FA on a "No one knows - and it's not a really important rule" basis?

I'd be gutted, but I THINK I'd accept the punishment with fairly good grace. I said enough times what I think of the other cheats over the last few seasons, and I'm not a hypocrite.

Bill Tomlins, the former Luton Chairman, only started to spill the beans because he was getting found out anyway. He was the chairman that sacked Newell as soon as Newell had started shouting his mouth in his programme notes about money going missing within the Luton setup. He went running to the FA hoping that they would be so pleased with his honesty they would not punish him.
Bill Tomlins, and the current Luton CEO John Mitchell are type of men that shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a football club.

But on the other hand, they must be ok and good blokes because, remember, the FA run thorough checks on people before they get involved in football clubs to ensure that they are not crooks.

I think it's Cherry Newbery - the former Club Secretary - who is spilling the beans on the Club, not the chairman. She left the club because of the way it was being run and she is the one who has supplied the details to the FA.

I understand that she's been a Luton fan all her life, but couldn't stomach the way things were going. Hence my question really - it must have taken guts for a true fan to shop her own club.
