Absolutely. There was any number of BLOWHARDS waffling on about parachute payments and how we could never compete. There's still a ridiculous number of the same waffling on about how Newcastle are a shoe-in for first place. They were saying much the same about Norwich up til 3pm yesterday. Like we should be doffing our caps to these GODS of football or something

Hard to believe villa won't end up towards the top. Front three today of Kodija, Adomah and ayew with McCormack and Gestede on bench - pretty tasty. Expect them, Fulham and, despite yesterday, Norwich to be our main contenders for second place. Reading and Sheff Wed could be dark horses but more likely to end up in the play offs I reckon. Newcastle will walk the league unless we really get on a run.

Agree re Villa. Next two games will be really tough. If we can come out of Bristol City and Villa games with four points, I would be delighted. Even two wouldn't be the end of the world after the win yesterday. We've got to move on from yesterday. Very few teams will defend as poorly as Norwich did. Next week will probably come back to being very tight (as it was for an hour yesterday)

Newcastle aren't guaranteed first but they are very likely to be top two (and probably come top). In terms of Norwich, they should still be up there but they desperately need to sort their defence out. Even before yesterday they had conceded more than double the goals we had. If they don't sort that out, they rely a lot on their attackers. In two games against us and Newcastle they've conceded nine goals now.
