QPR Problem

My 25 year old daughter lives 300 yards from Loftus road, poor thing.

She's not into football but her and her housemates have gotten tickets for Tuesday night and will be supporting the hooped chavvers. It's her first ever football game.

I love my daughter of course, but I'm not happy...

Any suggestions how I should handle this?

It's her first introduction to football ? Then she has no real loyalties yet. A sparkling Albion performance and a nice chat over Christmas dinner (perhaps with an Albion shirt as a present)- sorted.

At least she lives by Loftus Road. I have the pleasure of living by the Den.

Speaking of QPR, do they sell tickets at the gate? I missed the deadline to get them in the post.

Tell her horizontal stripes make you look fat, vertical stripes make you look slimmer.

I'm worried for her having a parent who uses the word "gotten" as if it means something in English.

I was waiting for that one!

In the op's defence gotten is the original form of the past participle of get and it's only those wacky Brits who changed it.

My closest friend who I've known for more than 30 years isn't into football -apart from a slight family allegiance to Bradford City. He recently bought a flat very close to Selhurst Park and asked if I'd like to go to some games. I'm going to have to educate him!
