There was a bit in the second half that I thought epitomised Ayari - great little turn to beat his man on the byline and then knocked it out of play. Think he has potential but he has a lot of work to do - he gives away free kicks for fun. I would worry if he’s starting against Everton.

Know it’s a friendly but We’ve looked pretty poor against a really awful QPR. Sarmiento and Ayai miles off being ready based on today. Milner looks like he’s played a season too many. Almost nothing happening in The final third. And really not sure what our system/identity is based on this. Let’s hope it gets much better.
I was there today and agree with this. Ayari and sarmiento not EPL quality yet. Minteh very raw, arne slot was right, decision making no right yet.

Really worrying that we are without 7 or 8 of our best players 2 weeks before the start of the season.

Weirdly I thought weifer looked ok when he came on. Think he will be good.

We aren't ready for the start of the season .can't see us getting off to a flier this time around.

More observations

Wieffer is either very rusty or very bad. Almost certainly rusty

I reckon Osman might miss the cut, and may find himself loaned, especially if we do land one more target

Cozier-Dewsbury has got to gain a squad place looks a menace

Also Sarmiento. The lad has done enough. He's in the squad for me and should be starting while we await to see what is going on with Pedro

Where is Adingra?

Veltman MOM for me.

Steele really is an astonishing passer of a ball

Could O'Mahoney also feature in the first team squad? He plays so similar to Evan
Sarmiento has swayed you on that performance? He runs a lot but lacks quality imo. we will need better.

Overall it was uninspiring but not too concerning. Confident it will be an exciting season.

Sarmiento must be staying, that's the longest I've seen him play for since he joined,I thought he played very well, love how he chases lost causes down.
I really hope he stays and he wants to stay and fight for a place, good player and still not one to be getting rid of imo.

Training/too early - Pedro, Ferguson, March
Being offloaded - Dahoud, Gilmour, Sima ?
Known injured - Verbruggen, Estupinan
Euro/Ilympics - Dunk/Enciso/Undav
Unknown - Lamptey, Igor , Barco (precautionary?)
Barco - precautionary. Felt something in training Friday.
Enciso - “not serious” - back in 2 weeks.

I'm sorry but with such a large squad of players I forget who is injured , taking a break or resting.etc What is wrong with Joao Pedro at the moment ?

Interesting different opinions on Mats W. Personally thought he looked extremely rusty, like he had not been on a pitch for half a year or something. Mistimed tackles, mistimed passes and sloppy ball control.

You can tell FH likes Sarmiento - he presses relentlessly. I think he’ll stay and be in the squad this year.

Very poor today. Didn't create much and giving the ball away too much but it is only a friendly and a bulk of the squad not available today.

Who are those 7 or 8 best players ?
Pedro, Dunk, Verbruggen, Barco - all due back soon/likely to play Villarreal
Enciso - “not serious…2 weeks”
Leaving Ferguson - training, not far off
And March .

Yep but they won't be up and running properly for the first couple of games. ... And then we have arsenal !

Hope I'm wrong and we see 4/5 back next weekend

That is called ‘tough shit’, as we aren’t going to go out a buy cover for a few week's.

Jesus wept.

It was a friendly for christ sake! People writing off individuals and some the team 🤦🏼

Let start making judgments when we have a fully fit squad available and the transfer window has closed.

The comments ref Wieffer are laughable! It’s his first run out following a long period on the sidelines. Some of you need to get a grip.
