there's still time to steal ronny from barca right under chelsea's noses
I think I'd rather have Messi. If we want a player with silly tricks who doesn't like getting his shorts dirty, we could always plump for the dream Messi/Brooker midfield ticket.

Blimey.....

1. I have never said I liked or disliked Wilkins. The only gripe I had when he was appointed was the "excuse" DK made by blaming us the supporters for losing faith in McGhee when that patently was not the case. I have said that on the radio and to DK himself.

2. Where have I said I dont agee with decision that are made. I think the club is being run as well as it can with the humungous debt around its neck caused by the Falmer debacle. If it would have gone through on the nod, then we would be in a totally different financial ballgame. It is very patronising to suggest that I " need to accept what DK is doing". If we would have accepted what Archer was doing with the club we would not have a club now ( Not that I am suggesting for one minute that it is the same) however from what we have been through, transparency is what is demanded above all. Yes perhaps in the position of occasionally being on the radio you get to talk to people who know far more about the goings on in the club that you or I will ever know and you will certainly form an opinion on how you think it is being run, be it rightly or wrongly.

The suggestion I was making is that we sometimes make too much of the Withdean factor, when you talk to people in the game who suggest it isnt as bad as we make out. Anyway, tyo take your point further, how would a prospective signee know what sort of fans we are, you suggest we are all moany groany, but I respectfully suggest you listen to 606 ( after teh fans phone in with ian hart obviously:thumbsup:) and listend to Premiership fans...now they moan that their clubs have a striker who ONLY scores 30 a season.....oh what a luxury that must be!!!

It wasn't about liking or disliking him. Its about getting behind him and the team.

If its not the same as Archer why bring it up???

I respectfully ask you dont acuse me of being patronising and then do exactly that!

And as for whingy Prem supporters, how are you any different???

Do you think, and I know that this sounds crazy, that footballers actually talk to each other?

Any way, I'm sure your right as you always seem to be.

Getting behind the team.....you obviously do not know me at all! I have been getting behind the team home and away for nigh on 33 years now.

Because whilst the circumstances are different, one of the main issues at the time was that fans were finding things out drip fed...not that dis-similar to now.

I apologise for suggesting you were patronising - it just read like that.

i am different because we know our limitations...perhaps premiership supporters and their millionaire clubs do not?

Probably they do, however we have had many decent loan players down here ( and some not so) which seems to suggest that if the finacial package is right people will come irrespective of the Withdeam "experience"- which I suppose is what Mcfarland was getting at.

I dont profess to be always right - in act I realy am, but hey, its a message board, not real life...is it?

speaking of which............

Brentford have parted company with winger Paul Brooker after cancelling his contract by mutual consent.
The 30-year-old is vastly experienced and has played over 350 games in his professional career.

Brooker joined Brentford from Reading in June 2005 and had been a regular member of the squad in that time.

The experienced midfielder has plied his trade at clubs including Reading, Leicester, Brighton, Stevenage Borough and Fulham.

Swansea confirm signing of Knight

That must have worried the sh*t out of Swansea fans when they saw that.......

Roberto Martinez has been on the lookout for a new goalkeeper
Swansea City have completed the signing of Middlesbrough goalkeeper David Knight on a free transfer

By the seaside in West Somerset
he was at leeds and a pile of donkey poop would do better on a football field than him.

Quality for Dons though:lolol: seriously he is quick and has some raw talent. Just needs good coaching and a change of attitude.

Just seen that Sone Aluko has gone to Aberdeen on loan from Birmingham City. Only a kid but he has looked a good striker in their reserves and thought that with our "good relations" with Blues he might have come our way:(

why would we need another striker though?
