No. I feel very sorry for the little pup and if this couple planned to stump up the money themselves then fair enough - although I still think it is almost certainly wrong to put the dog through what will be painful and uncertain surgery. But to ask for donations!!!!!

Hows about they use the money they plan to get from selling the rest of the litter? Or better still, hows about NOT going into the dog breeding business? Only they clearly don't have the competence or compassion necessary.

As a dog owner I feel very sad for the pup. But, if they had 6 others in the litter, a decent pedigree Cocker goes for £500-600, they ain't far off the cost of the surgery.

My thoughts exactly Roz, too many people trying to make a fast buck with breeding dogs these days.

Put the puppy out of its misery , the owners will be able to pay off the outstanding vets bill by selling the rest of the litter.
