@soccer_sauce: Our knowledge regarding Rhodes is not as nailed on as the Wayne Bridge transfer, but we have heard strong rumours #BHAFC #HTFC

Is Rhodes any good? I know him being linked with us excites some of the posters on here, but so goes greg bobkin. All I know about him is he is the star man of a league one side who has finally managed the step up after a couple of years of close calls. Just like CMS before him.

Having signed man utd's champions league keeper kuszczak, valencia's champions league left back bruno, and retained the services of valencia's champions league vicente, the idea of signing a league one player doesn't make me as excited as it perhaps should/would have last year.

While our chances of promotion may be better than huddersfield's, is that negated by the comfort of already being settled there and the north/south expense divide?

Do your mash your tea ?

There are regional differences within Yorkshire.
I am originally from Rotherham, so my mum will say that the tea is mashed, but spent several years in Huddersfield where they would say the tea is brewed (or even stewed though to me stewed tea is when it's been left in the pot too long)
& if you go to Barnsley you will need an interpreter.

Us signing a League One striker is a lot more sensible than us getting a guy who's won La Liga twice, La Liga player of the season, the UEFA Cup and 38 caps for Spain. Oh.... :D

I'm sure the poster did, but how many have they also get wrong?

They're putting together a team that looks pretty well set up for this league - easily top half and could well do better than that.
My betting is that Rhodes will continue to score heavily at this level as long as they continue to provide the ammunition - that was all CMS missed last season

He also missed the the goal quite a fecking lot

Are you all chuffing puddled?

Why on earth would Jordan Rhodes move from Huddersfield to Brighton?

Much nicer place to live, but that aside, maybe young Jord fancies having a go with a team that plays slick passing football...... only so much long ball a man can take

If he doesn't like long balls, maybe Brighton isn't the best area to move in to

Let's not forget the nice feelings we have for huddersfield. They should have come up last year, the play nice football, they did the pre-match celebration thing (that stains should have but didn't) with us.
Loads of their away support stayed for the after match celebration.

Let's not get all puddled and forget!

I'd rather we were going for a more proven striker at this level given what we spent last year
