The White Admiral Bevendean. The Terminus, corner of terminus road station street.

You must be joking on the WA, crap pub typical estate pub where any stangers were intruders yet there were never enough locals to make it worthwhile.

Having said that, any pub is better than no pub and i'm imagine darkest Lower Bev is probably further away from a pub than anywhere else in B&H.

With The Bevendean also closed down, the nearest pub is The Lecturn.

Used to work on Bevendean Industrial Estate with the son of the then current landlord of the the White Admiral, so most lunchtimes 3 or 4 of us ended up having one bar opened up specially & our drinks lined up ready and waiting for our arrival.
Consequently I have nothing but good memories of the place - but then again I never went there after dark!

Do really miss the Britannia in Hammersmith - over the road from the Apollo - was definitely the best pub in the area before a gig.

Do these two thoroughfares have a shared corner?

Since I posted I have had reason to visit the said area , and in fact it was either Terminus Place or Railway Street

I bet you were on street map with almost masturbational glee when you realised I'd got it wrong.

I was just a fraction to young to remember this. But always remeber my old man taking an age to get back from Taunton Crescent to Hangleton on a Sunday after visiting my gran. 'No no I'll go on my own':lolol:
