You can't beat T' Wells Bar & Grill for a Sunday roast, £13.95 and you won't be disappointed. Cracking service and great garden/patio.

I would recommend The Beacon just about 5 minutes in the car from the common. Epic views and fantastic food. The George & Dragon in Speldhurst is outstanding. If you must stay in the centre then I would agree that The Bar & Grill is a good call.

I was underwhelmed with the choice of places to eat in central Tunbridge Wells last time I was there. Given it is a nice place to wander around, I was expecting a few more decent places to eat really. Will be interested if anyone else has some hidden gems.

Best value and best food for roasts on Sundays is Trev's roasts at Crowborough Social Club piled on 4 inches high (i shit you not ) all served in a giant Yorky pudding !! £ 5 Yes thats £5 !!!!
worth joining the club just for that !!!
Every Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sunday plus the best curries in a radius of 10 miles massive £4.50 with poppadoms, bhajis, nans the lot !!

Best bet is the Toad Rock Retreat in Rusthall. New owner has done bloody wonders with the place and the food is better than most round that way.
