On the plus side we'd be perfectly fine for music and design and architecture.

How many tea and coffee plantations do we have in this country. I am aware of Cornwall tea but others.
Also how many items built here actually have components from overseas. While we could over time make or develop replacements the cost of buying would increase considerably.

Also fruits like pineapple take two years to grow before being able to harvest is there enough space for the additional greenhouses to grow fruits and other delicate foods.

No and no from me as I don't want scurvy

Just eat your greens, you'll be fine.

Could I ? Possibly. Would I ? Not a chance in hell.

I'm not sure it's worth avoiding buying other countries goods.

I do try and avoid buying anything produced in Israel though ..... tech stuff is a challenge to avoid from there.

I know you're not a Siouxsie fan, but isn't that taking the boycott a tad TOO far :)

It's one of my top ten Banshees songs too :(

You can do quite easily, it will require eating in season and probably having a veg patch and a large chest freezer. It will mean bye bye to things like Guacamole,Tahini and Hummus but that's not a bad thing.

I seem to remember something on a program a while back that followed a family for a year trying to do this. I think the only thing they could not find a british equivalent of was lightbulbs.
