PS3 connection question

What is needed to connect a PS3 to a new LCD tv.
I ask as at some point we will be buying a PS, mainly for Blue Ray, but already have a 'monster gold plated £60' scart.

Does the PS run off this or does it use the smaller HDMI lead.

yes that is correct.

your 'monster £60 scart' will not get a look in with the PS3

if for any reason your LCD doesn't have a HDMI connection then you can use component connection leads as well.

Mine runs into the DVI socket of my TV. Runs in HD, but no sound, that runs through a surround sound system.

It was brought in a moment of weakness and with no real knowledge of why it was needed in the 1st place.
