Prutton to join Swindon

Albion have lost out to Swindon in their bid to sign midfielder David Prutton from Colchester.

The Argus understands Prutton is 99 per cent certain to join the beaten League One play-off finalists instead.

Prutton's snub comes at a time when the Seagulls have been trying to land Swindon skipper and centre half Gordon Greer

When i heard the news we were after Prutton, i wasnt dissapointed, but his name hardly got me excited about the prospect. He would have been a decent signing, but theres other players of a similar standard out there that can play the captains role as well.

Agreed.
But, despite what some on NSC think, you need midfield players who can win the ball and make the easy pass. Players like Rogers, Hammond and Crofts are vital at our level.
