If they wanted to get the security services attention, they’ve succeeded in that, I’m not sure how much they’ll enjoy it however. I’m proud to be British tonight, and proud of my home town.

Yep. They bit off more than they can chew and decency prevailed.

The war will never be over, because having mad bastard DNA in the gene pool is useful (when mad bastards are needed), and having manipulative pervert DNA also seems to have some value to the herd. And they will manipulate and kick off again. But it is what it is (not a lot).

They know the mood, don’t be fooled into thinking large crowds turning out against them will make them reconsider their ideology, madness…

Their job is done now, they got the publicity, they got people talking about immigration, they got people questioning if the new labour PM was up to it, sadly they probably got more people join their cause or have empathy with it at least.

remember this is not unique to Britain, Ireland north or southern but the whole of Europe is gradually leaning further and further to the right, they will see themselves as on track.

it was opportunistic, straight after the knife attack in Southport.
this was not a well thought out coordinated thing even if the media suggest it was.

The police know who the main players in the far right are, and how they operate, make no mistake about that.
They will have maybe seen some new faces on the streets, yeah.

LBC’s O’Brien, Fogarty and Feltz take almost wall to wall calls from non White British who get verbally abused and punched for being the wrong ethnicity. Have been for a number of years. Incredibly includes eg Filipina nurses. Asian shops ramsacked.

Durham Constabulary:

Following intelligence of planned disorder across the county this evening, dispersal orders were put in place for Durham City, Bishop Auckland and Crook, alongside a heightened police presence in all areas.
Officers have tonight issued dispersal notices to 17 people.
Police have received no reported incidents of disorder or criminal damage this evening.
The dispersal orders will remain in place until tomorrow.

Also a really good turnout in Newcastle - there is a protest planned there on Saturday, hopefully it will be cancelled.

I agree largely but we have seen in other cities that counter protests have not gone so well.

But yes, fairs fair. The racists have had their pants pulled down in old Brighton Town tonight. Largely due to such a huge anti presence.

To add.. I was wrong about my anti - anti stance. Across the U.K. the anti protesters have seen the racists off and made them a laughing stock. And I will go as far as to say they have probably put an end to all this nonsense.

Ok I admit it, I've been proven wrong in my thinking on this occassion. I was obviously too fixated on the potential for the rapid escalation of any violence rather than the deterrent and solidarity aspect. I guess I have been educated this evening. The pictures have indeed been very heartwarming after a horrendous week of feeling ashamed at how these thugs have behaved with the countries flag wrapped around their shoulders.
