I would be interested to know how you think there is a middle ground between these rioters and the rest of us.

Can you even explain to me what the rioters want (their 'country back' according to the banners) and how rioting will achieve this?

You have always struck me as a sensible poster so I'd be interested in your explanation.

I was going to ask you this yesterday when you made a similar comment.

There never will be with that attitude.

Without speaking for him, I would suggest that he is suggesting that a lot of people are concerned about immigration in this country for a number of reasons, and these rioters are at the extreme end of the scale, and that this concern has manifested itself into this. The inability to be able to have a sensible conversation about immigration without being called RACIST if you have concerns about it in this country, has got us to the point where suddenly people don't care if they are called RACIST anymore. And that is what is happening outside. All that stuff had bubbled beneath the surface for so long, then something happened that, for whatever reason, tipped people over the edge, and now it's all kicked off.

How can a question be an attitude?

Are you going to explain or will you just leave us guessing?

And there shouldn't be.

I'm quite happy to debate immigration, or whatever else, with basically anyone.

But I've no interest in finding common cause with people who are trying to set occupied hotels on fire. You understand what it means, contextually speaking, when someone is trying to set a building on fire whilst people are inside of it?

Middle ground with them. Rack off.

So I’m guessing the Brighton riot was a false alarm or was squashed before it could start. Good.

Was always ‘meant’ to be later I think

The rioters are rioting. They are not seeking to have a sensible conversation about immigration, or indeed anything. There is no middle ground.

You think they were previously concerned about being called racist but now no longer care?

Crikey.

Anyway, thanks for explaining to me what @Bulldog thinks.

It all sounds like having a bit of sympathy on behalf of others to me. I see no evidence that they deserve it. All I see is entitled wankers having some rioty fun.

I also think that people who have sympathy with the rioters might consider examining their own attitudes. Think about the sequence of events here: teenager born in Wales with no Muslim antecedents murders children; white people go on anti Muslim racist rampage attacking the police. Why on earth would anyone have any sympathy with these rioters? Unless they shared their attitudes a bit. Just a tiny bit maybe, but a bit.

Look at old @sydney ranting about Muslims and paedophiles again. I mean what the actual f*** does this have to do with anything?

Anyway, I'm now so angry I am going to throw a brick through the windows of Iceland in town. No doubt I can count on you to speak up on my behalf, and I'm sure that @Bulldog will be along soon to meet me half way.

i'm sorry , you seem to think i've bought into the illegal immigrant grooming gang narrative whereas i haven't , i'm just buying into the 160k plus illegal immigrant narrative in the last 12 months and that is a conservative figure ..........SOME quarters have it as high as 200 k ......who knows really.?

also , ask yourself seriously old boy , where are the bulk of the assaults perpetrated .......there are millions of little old white men in leafy towns and villages all over the UK who would never dream of kiddy fiddling , get a grip mate.

I have a grip, have you got a grip? What are you gripping? Is it a beer bottle?

Southampton city centre, could potentially get interesting tonight.

There is a 'protest' planned around Bedford Place / London Road, and also a 'Stand Up to Racism' counter-protest.

Also in the city tonight will be some cuddly LAZIO fans, in town for a friendly against Saints.

A little harsh old chap, especially given the first line of my post was ‘without speaking for him’.

They are not far right, just people with legitimate concerns.
