I saw that. I assumed/hoped it was either a Sheff Wednesday or Hudds shirt.

What would an Albion fan be doing all the way up in Rotherham?
Hopefully that is the case. And hopefully this remains a northern issue so the club donā€™t have any decisions to make.

But isn't this just what they are after? Foreigners being encouraged to stay away from the UK.
So called foreigners are as unlikely to stay away from the UK as a result of these urban unrest hotspots as I am from France during the Parisian unrest last year. Such tweets by such overly dramatic twits as the poster appears to be are pure hyperbole and unhelpful really. Nobody is going to flee the entire country or avoid coming here because of. Our population will continue to grow, as it always has, not least because of, albeit unprecedented, immigration thatā€™s fuelled by global environments, conflicts and poverty. Same reasons as ever, basically, throughout human history. How to accommodate and integrate is of course a different matter. One our politicians arenā€™t enjoying their finest hour with presently.

A Voter for Reform has either
a) to be thick as mince or
b) a complete bstd

So calling them scum is probably a bit over the top. But here's the thing.

20% of our population - well 20% of the turnout at the election voted for Reform.

That's a hell of a lot of thickos and / or bstds.... so logically a lot of them will be pondlife.

And you say all sides should take a step back? are you equating anti rascists with the rascists? All as bad as each other? That's a dangerous road to go down isn't it?
And who exactly is going to make the Reform voters on the streets take a step back?
Our Police are taking the brunt of it, the rest of us are either keyboard warriors of keeping our heads down.
Reform got 14.3% of the vote at the election, on a turnout of 60%

What are you on about? Iā€™ve challenged a commentator who has subsequently confirmed they miswrote their post, inbetween all youā€™ve done is begun insulting me because youā€™re running high on emotion and typing so furiously that Iā€™ve simply become the target of your bile and abuse online because you canā€™t get at the real live agitators. Youā€™re as bad as them, judging and acting like a hot head when Iā€™m advocating calmness and taking a step back on all sides. Look a little closer to home before judging and labelling these ā€œscumbagsā€ as you have.
Maybe it is you that needs to look a little closer to home - Comparing a fellow NSCer with far right neo-nazis who are currently walking through the centres of our communities doing ā€˜Heil Hitlerā€™ salutes or the mindless thugs trashing hotels, shops and libraries is really low - You are not ā€™debating reasonablyā€™, you seem to be in denial that there is anything more going on than ā€˜just yoofs being hot headsā€™ or as you say ā€˜the village idiotsā€™.

These riots (or whatever whitewash expression you want to use ) have been incited by far right agents provocateurs on social media which may likely include Russian and Chinese agents using bots to spread hatred and division. They are being attended by ex-members of the EDL and NF - they are bearing swastikas and other far right insignia.

As football fans, we all know the far rightā€™s involvement in hooliganism in the 60s-90s. However, it is not oppo fans being targeted here and giving as good as they get, it is vulnerable and innocent people at the receiving end of the directed violence and hatred ; asylum seekers, innocent business owners and ethnic minorities, especially Muslims.

You misunderstood what he wrote imo, it was blindingly obvious. Off you flounce, no need for an announcement šŸ‘‹
Pithy. And pity. Said some very kind words to you in the past and supportive of your challenges. Regardless, you canā€™t misunderstand something someone later admits was mis written ie you being wrong twice doesnā€™t make yer right. You just look more foolish.

It would be very naƬve or stupid to wear a shirt that could provoke homophobic remarks from the dickheads causing trouble and possibly be turned upon. Unlikely but some of them in these northern bad areas are so short of brain cells. :nono:

So because youā€™re an Afghan refugee fleeing from tyranny and religious fanatics, by your train of thought, you should be ashamed to be Afghan? Bloody ashamed too?

Nope, Iā€™d simply disassociate and hope one day the Taliban rule is ended. In the meantime Iā€™d be very proud of my country, and go about my values and beliefs in my own small way as we all do largely.

Reform got 14.3% of the vote at the election, on a turnout of 60%
So 23%

He did you a favour by saying it could have been clearer, and editing it to be so, but you seem to be taking advantage of that and claim it was all his failt, when the post was clear to everyone else as it was.
I understand that the manner in which your error of misunderstanding was pointed out, was offensive, but by going on as you are, you are being wrong twice, and you just look more foolish.
Maybe leave it a while if you are getting wound up.

Looking forward to people on here telling us that this is actually Starmer saying that anyone who doesnā€™t subscribe to the Socialist Worker is basically rimming Hitler.

Kier Starmer is to blame for this. His speech was so badly judged. No recognition at all of the reasonable worries a lot of people have, just an attack on their right to protest. Seems more bothered about defending the perpetrators than our children.
He is not to blame.

The issue here is that there is a sizeable minority with a hefty dislike of immigration and asylum seekers.
This is weaponised and whipped up by bad actors ( including nefarious foreign states ).

And here we are.

The only long term solution is education and persuasion.

Going forward that is on Starmer for now. Nothing else.
