Had my pre radiotherapy scan today ,
will be starting treatment in a few weeks time.
I am trying to raise a few quid for prostate cancer research so if anyone can spare a couple of pounds it would take be much appreciated.

It's imperative that a National screening programme for Prostate cancer is introduced.
Too many men are dying from a disease that is easily cureable if caught early.
I was lucky that my cancer was detected after I had a blood test for a different ailment, but it could have been found some months earlier if I had been given a PSA test when I requested one, but was told " We don't do a test if you don't have symptoms".
Many men don't display symptoms until the cancer is well established, so my message to all men over 50 is - get tested, don't take no for an answer.

Well worth a listen from 1:03. Including a caller from Arundel with prostrate C, poignant words from him about getting issues checked out ASAP.

A very informative listen, thanks for posting this. I have just turned 50 and have contacted my doctors about routine testing which I would not have without such awareness. The bit about removing all the testosterones sounds like something no-one would want to go through

Anyone who gets tested always has a different pathway.
Some things can be saved and others sadly not.
