Well, 3 weeks after my second lot of 24 biopsies in 4 years, got the phone call a few minutes ago to say 'pleased to tell you there is no cancer'. Not sure why I have a high PSA 'for the size of the prostate'. But frankly, my dears, I don't give a damn. (Riverdance). :rave: :rave: :rave:

Now to finish cutting down a tired old tree before the football. Hooray!

I've mentioned earlier on this thread about the biopsies, where all dignity goes out of the window in having the hanging gardens of babylon on show, and I'll add for me watching the chap doing the task in hand, was like watching one of those cheap TV chefs cooking up a storm waving his whisk about 🫣
Don't think it has to be that bad. I was asleep for mine, thankfully. Had an MRI first so highly targeted. That's what people should be pushing for. The finger up the bum is never great, granted. Especially if you've got prostatitis at the time. Eye watering, but was effective as it turned out.

I've got my 3 month follow up on Tuesday next week after my 4D Brachytherapy treatment. They only want a 20 minute phone conversation so hopefully the PSA levels are stable or falling from the las t (4.8 ) and everything is groovy. I feel good and upbeat about things. Best of luck and health to everyone on this thread and beyond!
PSA down to 3.3, next check up in September. I'm told that after 5 years they expect my PSA to be about 0.5
Now, about buying that Euromillions ticket eh?

I was watching an old Waiting For God on UK Drama the other day and they had started a story about one of the characters who had a prostate issue and the potential for it being cancerous. What was interesting is this was from 1993 and back then, there seemed to be no real awareness of the condition and part of the episode was about them speaking to a Health minister trying to raise the awareness importance of early diagnosis and increase the priority of diagnosis.

It is scary that over 30 years later, it is only in the last few years that this seems to have reached the sort of awareness that this programme was trying to push all those years ago.

I met up with @BrightonCottager in Ruislip for a coffee and chat on Mon last.
A very nice chap, even though he's Fulham 😉
Chatted about PC and payed moi a lovely compliment about putting myself in the limelight about my story on PC and how it's helped others in dealing with their journeys in dealing with this disease.
So hope it has🫡

Thank you 😍

Thank you! You don't get to 29 pages without helping someone and it's important blokes talk about these issues.
On that note, there's a new Radio 4 podcast / programme about men talking about cancer. Jon Holmes says the C word.
