I hope all goes well for youVery rarely post but felt it important to echo Ruislips message at the start of this thread. Just had my psi blood test at the Royal Marsden (I'm part of a research programme there as I have the brca 2 gene) need to be below one otherwise its mri and biopsy. Get tested is all I can say a simple blood test takes 5 mins.
Well hopefully my psi stays under 1! It's always been around 0.5 so fingers crossed!I hope all goes well for you
MRI is straight forward, but with biopsies I was advised to relax and do deep breathing.
My comments are no longer needed so I'm deleting. Now we can get back to the threadWhy can't you bugger off, off this thread unless you can say something constructive about a serious subject you muppet
Ah!Cheers @Frutos
Are we exclusive now or just friends
Same here, on the advice from my consultant, after my op I decided to stop alcohol, coffee and tea, just water only.Since I have sacked off caffeine and (non beer) fizzy drinks of an evening, my getting up for a bonus piss in the small hours has gone. That has to be better for my prostate too eh?
Christ. That's a lot to put on hold.Same here, on the advice from my consultant, after my op I decided to stop alcohol, coffee and tea, just water only.
Still get the urge, but just sniff the fumes.
Thanks Mike.Christ. That's a lot to put on hold.
Last home game I met up with an old school mate who went through your same op a year ago and he was quite animated about 'retraining the bladder'. I guess if you can just drop all those liquids like that then, hasta la vista, maybe. If not, it would be instructive to know what type of liquid intake modification may be sufficient to minimize the night time need.
Oh, and heads up, I was told to f*** off back to my etchings after my last low PSA a year ago, but this thread reminds me I ought to proactively seek an update. Knowing my luck I'll be on the threshold and sent for biopsies again. But....it is what it is.
Best wishes to all you lovely boys. Up the Albion.
Hope to see you back at the football next season. I often have my second ticket going spare. Perhaps moreso next season as my boy has inherited the ticket from Kim, but has suddenly got a lot on his plate. I will try to be organized and look at the landscape/timescape a bit sooner than I usually do (i.e., 2 days before KO).Thanks Mike.
I'm using the NHS squeezy app to do pelvic floor exercises everyday, which helps a lot.
My waterworks won't be the same as before PC, but it's all about, as you day retraining the Bladder.
Not to leave going until the last minute, as your Bladder has a memory.
If you need to go then go.
The downside is that when I've done anything exercise related, together with the fatigue, I get stress leaks, from the tiredness, not stress.
Just dealing with it
psi rises with age ....without freaking everyone out your prostate is a little time bomb rather like ovaries , how ironic that its these two organs are needed to procreate and yet they can be the most damaging organ in ones body ....such is life ...!Well hopefully my psi stays under 1! It's always been around 0.5 so fingers crossed!
Something wrong with that fella posting as he did. Have to say it really angered me, so thank you.Carbonara will no longer be participating in this thread.
Would be worthwhile reading the whole thread, then you'll get a sense of everyone's journey.not looked at all of the pages on here (my bad). can you just request a PSA from your quack or do you have to be of a certain age ?
