To be honest, I lay the blame for this DISASTROUS campaign at the door of the Ruddy Faced Clown.

Yes I agree he made a bad call in playing Carson, but look at the lack of players he has to select from.

Up front without Owen and Rooney you have players who DO NOT start regularly for Premiership teams.

In defence we had the inexperianced Lescott and a Sol Campbell who is past his sell by date. But who else could he have picked?

I know its not an excuse but to have Rooney, Owen, Ferdinand & Terry all missing at the same time leaves a big whole when the Premiership is dominated by foreign players!!!!!!

I blame Barwick, SKY TV, and too much money in the Premiership. We need pride, passion, guts and vocal fans, something that is missing since the Premiership and all seater stadiums.

I am sure that all the players were able to feel better after a good nights sleep in a mansion after probably being driven home and of course a day off today as they play just TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much football these days! The £100k pay cheque at the end of the week will also help to soften the blow.
Me I am just being miserable at work and I am pi**ed off big time we didnt qualify. Trips to Croatia, Macedonia, Isreal, Russia, Estonia and Barcelone for the Andorra game have all lead to a free summer...... booooooooooooooooooooo

Only Beckham had the balls to come over and applaud the fans....he loves playing for England, do the others, probably but not with the same passion and pride!

There will be no distractions from watching Sussex win everything next summer.

When is the next meaningful international football now? 2010?

The vast majority of posts tonight show a real contempt for the premiership, it's players and the vulgar excess it represents. I don't think this is a knee-jerk reaction, it's well earned by the majority of prima-donna pricks on parade.

Anyway, it's times like this that make me appreciate the Albion and realise how real football still is at our level. I genuinely hope this represents a wake up call for English football but in the meantime i'll quite happilly watch our local boys put in real effort and pride for a relatively meagre livelihood.

Spot on that man. I have always regarded club over country and on the latest showing its no wonder.
