But you need to have a large oppressed and poor section of society otherwise you empower them and hence, have less influence over them. The more control the more you can then convince them the reason they are poor is because of immigrants, the EU or a whole host of reasons. If people were well paid, could easily afford to buy, rent property and had plenty of disposable income how do you convince them life isn't so good and they should consider changing their voting intentions? The Tory Government are completely in cahoots with the right wing media, owned by rich Tory donors to put out divisive stories and influence opinion in mostly ordinary work class people who wouldn't usually look beyond a headline. Getting people to vote against their own interests, for policies that will make them poorer. That's power and influence
I think the reason many who still buy into this, of which a few examples on this forum is perhaps they don't like to admit they are a pawn or the fool so keep up the pretence (or just gullible)

Or possibly consider that you may, when spouting this rubbish, be talking out of your @rse.
Break it down, sentence by sentence and explain why it's rubbish. I fear that you think it is, because you are another one who just doesn't want to admit that it's true, (like Bag O' shite, above).
Go on...tell us why it's rubbish.
I shall start with the easy bit for you.
I consider myself neither a pawn, a fool nor gullible.
There, that was tricky.

I still consider myself capable of scoring the winning goal for Brighton in the FA Cup final before spending the rest of that evening and most of the next morning banging Nigella Lawson senseless.
The chances of that standing up to scientific scrutiny are, I'll concede, limited.
Well, that's me convinced - top work.
Tel us all why you support illegal entry into the UK , don't be shy

DF

Sure:
I don't judge folk based on their nationality/colour, nor do I presume them automatically guilty of (nor likely to commit) various criminal acts or 'sponging' off tax payers, just because I suffer from xenophobia or racist tendencies.
They all enter legally (if claiming asylum) and during their application (which may, or may not prove successful), they are entitled to be given shelter, food, etc....you know, the normal things that one does for people, preferably without being harassed/intimidated by those snide, sneering and unpleasant characters that you would ally yourself to.
so why didn't they go through the official entry points? , tart it up as much as you like

of course, turn up illegally in the hope of claiming asylum while throwing away any ID papers you have on you and run off when you land on the beach , right on,Because they are claiming asylum, you clueless muppet - it doesn't work that way.
