After watching the game yesterday, it got me thinking, promotion is firmly on the cards.

No. We won't make the top 2 and we still have a tough run in to make 6th, and the play offs are a complete lottery. Other than that...

Good attitude but there is still a long way to go.

With the game at 0-0 yesterday, I turned around to my brother and said if we don't win this one, I fear our season is over. Those 2 goals really lifted everyone. I do feel positive but we have some tough games coming up. Win those and we DESERVE to go up!

It is really great to have something to still play for at the end of the season. All of us would have settled for mid-table but to be up there challenging for the playoffs is just incredible and after each win I am starting to believe we can actually do this.

I think if we can keep this run going, we should hopefully make the play-offs. We can start to dream from there!

The crucial game for me throughout the run-in is Reading at home. If they are still on their winning run and we are still on our undefeated run, someone season's could go bang with the wrong result. I'm hoping of course it's not us :amex:

Just had a look at last 10 years' table.

A key stat is games won: in last 10 years only Preston in 06/07 failed to get PO place having won at least 21 matches and they drew 8, less than Albion already.

That says to me that we need 3 wins from the games against non contenders and 2 from the fellow contenders (Reading, Brum, Middboro at Amex, W Ham, Blackpool away) to get PO. That looks eminently achievable on current form; once there I think we have a good chance.

Given that most of the teams around us have a game or two in hand, our 'true' position is 8th. Although, Blackpool and Middlesboro are losing form at the wrong time, so we might sneak 6th. I'm delighted just to stay up without any dramas to be honest. Any finish in the top 10 is just utterly amazingly unexpected and I'm already looking forward to next season whatever happens

The play off are completely in our own hands as we have to play the other contenders and so do the others they are all playing each other. If we win all of our home games and draw the away ones we will make the play offs.

I would have taken mid table so anything is a bonus now!! Still Blackpool and west Ham away and boro, reading and brum at home will be huge-9 points from those and I'd say it's play offs!!!

That is definite and unlikely; to stay undefeated to end of season would be a mighty achievement and might set us up for a Huddersfield type PO disaster following a long run of undefeated games last season. I settle for 5W and 2 or 3D - that would almost certainly be enough.

The play off are completely in our own hands as we have to play the other contenders and so do the others they are all playing each other. If we win all of our home games and draw the away ones we will make the play offs.

Games in hand are all well and good but you have to go out and use them. I would rather have the points in the bank every time.

Yes, our true position is 8th. But that's with Blackpool 9th. I thought we had a chance of passing Middlesbrough as they lost form in January, but they're doing ok again.

Hopefully we'll be close, making an entertaining end to the season.

Probably working!
Are we allowed 7 subs rule in the play-offs?
It seems unlikely, but with the 7 sub rule in the pl it kind of makes sense. Which means it'll probably be a no then!
