theres no way Southampton will get 93 points, that means them only dropping 4 points till the end of the season and they have some tough games coming up, Charlton twice, sheff wed, us, MK Dons, Orient...........they will lose some of them as they are too inconsistent. peterborough also will not get to 89, they have 7 games to play away, including orient and uddersfield and MK Dons and home to B/Mouth.........I honestly think 88 points will be good enough for us......6 wins from 12!!!

I hope its:

Brighton
P/Borough

And B/mouth via the play offs

Relegated

I dont care but hope Swindon go down

Interesting. I've gone for a fairly pessimistic appraisal of our run-in (random home defeat to Notts County, beaten by Southampton etc) and this is what came out...

Brighton 91
Peterborough 86
-------------------
Southampton 85
Huddersfield 82
Leyton Orient 81
MK Dons 79
-------------------
Bournemouth 76

Really does suggest it is ours to lose now. We'd be taking 20 points from 12, a bit under our two points a game target and would still have some gap on the chasing pack. We really do need to foul up badly to blow it from here.

Bournemouth to tail off that badly? Probably not but they've only taken 8 from the last 6 and with everybody else now winning it's possible.

Might seem like fun to do all this prediction crap, but does it take into account suspensions, injuries possible international call ups........all good in an ideal world, but different in reality.

You've won the league now, always thought we could pip you come the end of the season, but alas you havn't faultered and thats a credit to you. I think we will go up in second now as we tend to play better against the top teams. Of course there will be more twists, and we may get play offs, i don't care so long as we go up as next year we'll be a decent side with continued investment.

I can't see B'mouth holding on, I think Orient will replace them and I also think Udders will stay down again this year, they just don't seem to be able to beat the big teams, they've got very lucky with us, playing us at home during periods of uncertaintly, this season and last, but both times at ours they've been smashed.

I also think we'll be the only team to beat you at home this year, last year everyone was expecting an easy Norwich win when we went up there but we did them 2-0, I think something similar could happen again, also taking into consideration you'll be up by that weekend anyway.

Interesting move by Adkins when he tried getting the Plymouth game back on this weekend.

PROMOTION chasing Southampton made a late bid to have Saturday's postponed League One clash against Argyle at Home Park go ahead as originally scheduled.

Nice move if he had got away with it.
