I agree, no reason why we should make special efforts for a youth team player with a couple of appearances, no matter how promising he is. The team is built around a superb team spirit and nobody should have special treatment.

What special treatment? Being part of a squad is not special treatment!

Ive heard as well that there wont be one but for ****s sake this might never happen again for years so again lets do it.
Somebody at the council should do something, think how much money and coverage it will bring to the city.

Why wouldn't there be? I can't imagine why not. If not, there must be a good reason.

I really help that there is a parade, i want another chance to celecbate and thank the players for the achievement. I can't see the club not wanting one, it will be another chance to show how many fans we have and why we need Falmer

I've heard there will be a parade on Sunday 18th July. If so, let's hope Danny Cullip is still here and Jake Robinson is also invited to his team's celebration. Robinson did play 11 times for the first team this season, which was 11 times more than Hammond, 10 times more than Beck, 6 times more than Lee and only 2 fewer than Kuipers. I know he is only 17 and hopefully he will be a great player for us for many many years to come, but he had a right to be on the pitch before and after the game on Sunday. He is a professional footballer and should be treated the same as the other players.

We dont need a parade. We've had our day out, thats what it is all about. You only have a parade if you go up as CHAMPIONS (as we have done twice)

Or if you're Hull.

Hooray, everyone celebrate. We've finished, erm, second.

Erm, in the basement division.

Behind those football powerhouses (but bloody nice blokes), Doncaster.

Most likely because he has already told the chairman that he is leaving before the start of the new season, but the chairman talked him into going to the parade anyway.

Couldn't this all turn into a bit of a damp squib...?

People will be right out of football mode with Euro 2004 over for 2 weeks.

Lots of people will be on holiday/enjoying Summer pursuits.

A lot of time will have lapsed from the end of the season.

We didn't actually win a Championship.

There will be no easy way to communicate/remind people of it taking place.

I accept that a lot of people from here will turn up, sing, wave some flags and then get drunk, but I'm not convinced as to how many floating/occasional fans will come along.

I don't think it willl be anything LIKE the two championship parades, for the reasons Bozza lists. Quite honestly, we'll be lucky if half the number of people turn up.

I'll still be there though. Any excuse for a flag-waving piss-up amongst Albion fans.
