I am a fan from outside Brighton so I rely on the website for news. I have been watching since the end of the season to see the expected wave of new signings. Am I the only one who is getting nervous?

We have lost Murray and Bennett who were important team members. I appreciate this wasn't by choice but it's not great news. Gus let Kishishev, Sandaza, Baz, Battapiedi, Hart, and Holroyd go. I don't think any of them were necessarily good enough, but they were key squad members last year - especially Kishishev.

In return as far as I am aware there have been just two good signings Buckley and Hoskins. However I don't see any more yet. Isn't this a bit worrying? I really hope to see some movement soon.

On top of that we've just lost chief scout Aranalde...

Is anyone else worried or am I missing something?

It's only June!!!

If we're in the same position a month from now, THEN would be the time to start worrying :D

I think you're missing something. If you have been reading Gus's quotes you'll know he has it in hand. As for the players that were let go, they were let go for a reason and the wages they were paid will add to the kitty making it easier to get better players. I think JUune 28th is when they come back for training and by then we will have a few more players.

Yes,as far as I can see it`s only you that`s getting nervous.New signings have hardly got a mention on here. There was a thread about Lua Lua signing I think, but nobody really looked at it as nobody is really concerned.

Why is it everything has to be done 'now, now, now'?

For gods sake, don't you realise the transfer window closes in just over 10 WEEKS time ?? There's only 20% of the year left to get these players in.

If we haven't signed three defenders, two midfielders, a couple of strikers and KLL by Thursday lunchtime then we're looking at a full-on CRISIS at the club. I'm already in panic mode, and have been since ten past four yesterday.

Losing Murray and Bennett while not ideal appears to have already been delt with with the signings of Buckley and Hoskins. Of the players the o/p listed only Kishishev could be considered a key squad memeber, the rest were nothing more than bit part players. There is still plenty of time to sort things out, a lot of players will be away on holiday at the moment so the movement of players isn't likely to take off until the end of this month and the start of next.

Before the days of internet messageboards you wouldn't have even have considered any of this.

I think message boards are what's making me nervous! I'm new to NSC (not the Albion before you start!). The constant talk that he's signing tomorrow and he's signing the next day is really exciting, but, when they don't I start to panic and question why? It's driving me up the wall!.... It's a good job he along with 2 others are signing on Thursday, then I can start to relax a bit.

They go back to training today according to Tommy Elphick's facebook.

"Ten past four yesterday" was a stroke of genius and if I didn't have such an aversion to using txtspk it would have merited an "LOL". To change the subject but I'm mildly curious about the team for the SCC. I'm sure somewhere in the Sussex FA's rules there must be something about when a player has to be on the books to be eligible and obviously the timing of the game is unusual this year. Does anyone know whether Gary Hart is eligible for a poignant run out at the Amex or will he perhaps be fixed up with another club by then? Apologies if this has been covered before but the sentimentalist in me would like to see him score the first ever goal at the new stadium.
