The screeching is the record company's dodgy files.

Try searching for Dido's latest on Kazaa - around 99.99% are record company dummies.

Soulseek is basic but the way it works makes it best for complete albums. Doesn't get anywhere near as many fake files either. It never gets written about in the press because 99.99% of journos use Macs and it's PC only. :lolol:

PS New Basement Jaxx album. Shhh!

As others have said: get the latest kazaalite++ and block the dodgy ip addresses. Also avoid downloading from users with a REALLY high bandwidth as hear these are usually record companies with dodgy files.

I only bother using kazaa for the odd rare single the the record companies wouldn't bother with these days...

Problems with Kazaa? Yes, a f***ing great virus that I'm just about coping with. I need to get hold of someone with an external CD burner that I can borrow to back up my work stuff, then reset my system. The virus checker they give you isn't good enough. It's completely slowed my system right down, and uninstalling Kazaa, and installing anti Pop-up software etc hasn't helped one jot. ****s. Believe it or not, I was downloading the Beatles "1" album track by track when it happened aswell. Not the first files you'd think to plant viruses in.

The ones you don't suspect usually are the ones with the viruses :nono:
