All well and good, but these players are out of contract and the chances are nobody is going to want them. After all, we wanted Molango to go to Lincoln permantley in the summer and they would only take him on a season long loan. Now he hardly set the world alight for them, so the chances are he will be back here in May.
Has Molango been scoring for Lincoln? Nicholas could " do a job" for a League One side. But big mistake to give such long contracts to Molango and Turienzo.

I really don't see strikers as an issue with us. We have lots of goal scoring talent already. We also seem to be scoring from all positions this season. Our problem has been hanging onto leads and controling midfield. We often seem to lose out in the last 20 minutes of a game because we're knackered. I don't think this is a fitness issue but because we are chasing the ball for long periods of the game. IF our central midfield had an older head in there we would be able to hold onto possessioon better. OUr strikers would take their chances better.

It is the biggest cope out in the world to say, oh our strikers aren't scoring let's get a new striker. It it a team game and I like to look at the bigger picture. If I had enough money to bring in two decent players I'd go for a central midfielder 28 or older and a left back. If the money would not stretch to two decent players then I'd rather opt for a decent midfileder.

I look at the likes of Richards, Robinson, Knight, McPhee etc and I see the potential for plenty of goals. We need to hold onto the ball more and play the ball to feet. Confidence comes when you have the ball not when you're chasing it IMHO.

Then a Centre Forward who can score us 15 goals from Christmas to the end of tyhe Season.

15 goals from Jan to the end of the season? Or in other words a 30goals a season striker? Yep, shouldn't be any problems getting one of them...

I think it depends entirely on whether Dodd can get and stay fit and prove himself as a lb. If he can then a striker who can score regularly should be the priority.

The midfield appear to be creating a fair deal with Frutos and Carole; when Chippy comes back the centre will look solid. It's only at left back where we are really struggling and capitalising on chances created infront of goal.

Have to disagree. The two main problem areas are the make shift defence, where we've leaked soft goals all season, and our inability to score at the other end. Let's look a the defence first. The issue here is the full-backs. We have a right winger playing right- back who's increasingly looking out of his depth and no left sided defender! Did you go Watford? Hart and Reid were run ragged, pulled all over the place so they resorted to silly tackles and silly hand balls. A new left- back is essential. I'd be tempted to play Mayo there in the meantime which would allow Reid to revert back to the right.

And it's not a cop out to say we need another striker. It's common sense. The fact is we have really only have one recognised first team striker in Leon Knight. He's scored what 4 times since August? Of the rest, McPhee and Turienzio are clearly not good enough ( Turi can't even get in the squad and Mcphee tries hard but never looks like scoring); Baby Jake and CKR both have lots of potential and are "ones for the future" ( MM's own words) and that leaves McCammon who we all know is a limited player although might be worth a try for his physical presence.( Can't do any worse can he? ) Look around the division, virtually every other team has got at least 2 or 3 recognised strikers - most have cost a lot of money. Now we can't compete with that but if we want to stay up we've got to get someone, somehow, who'll score 10 goals like Virgs did last season. It's not easy I know but if Colchester can get someone like Jamie Cureton or Northampton get Trevor Benjamin, I simply can't believe we can't get someone to bang a few in. Because if we don't, we're not going to win many games.

Maybe worth a try but if MM thought he was the answer surely he'd have played him by now?

From what has been said, he was pushed up to train with the first team towards the end of pre-season, but got injured. He was at Worthing on work experience, but he does look a decent prospect, lacks the pace of Harding, but there is something about his game that suggests that he will make it.
