The fee to Blackpool was 1.1 mil but Blackpool would only pay half his current salary. Swansea agreed a lower fee (la lot more than the £300k papers reported) to allow Blackpool to offer more as salary but big Karl was still too tight and barely increased his offer.
There were 5 teams offering contracts on deadline day (including a premiership team).
Preston offer was not the most £'s.

Orlandi was definitely free after his contract was cancelled. I suspect he got a decent wedge as a signing on fee in return for a probable pay cut.

Fascinated to hear £350K for Dobbie but it probably fits with Blackpool's expectation that they would get him - they are not known for spending too much.
Have to admit I would have expected him to be £1m+ depending on his contract situation
